Hurt Andhra’s brand image, says Chandrababu Naidu in CM’s first reaction to allegations from Adani US indictment
Reacting for the first time on allegations connected to the state stemming from the indictment of Gautam Adani in the US, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said in the Legislative Assembly that the state government is in possession of the indictment reports and assured that action would be taken against any irregularities.
Naidu said that ever since his Telugu Desam Party-led NDA government came to power, it has been discussing alleged corruption during the YSRCP regime from 2019 to 2024.
“I have all the reports of the indictment filed in the US. We will study them and take action accordingly. We will inform what action we will take,’’ Naidu said in the Assembly.
Reacting to some NDA members demanding action against former chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, Naidu said the allegations against the previous YSRCP government have hurt the brand image of Andhra Pradesh. “It is sad. Our prestige has been hurt,” he said.
